This extract recipe is our take on the popular Red IPA style of beer.
At circa. 6.6% it is a full strength hop forward IPA with moderate bitterness for the style at circa. 52 IBU’s. A touch of Simpsons Black Malt along with the BestMalz Red X give this IPA its reddish hue. Golden and Sparkling Amber Briess liquid malts with 200g of early boil, steeped and dry hopped Centennial and Simcoe hops combine to round out a sensational beer that will appeal to anyone in the IPA camp.
This recipe is another great introduction to experimenting with hops, wet malts and steeping grains for the beginner or intermediate brewer who wants to take their tin kit brewing to the next level.
