Q. My beer is too frothy and tastes flat?

A. The beer is over-gassed and you are losing all the gas in the head when pouring the beer. Check the beer line. If the beer in the line turns to bubbles when you stop pouring, it is over-gassed.

Degas the keg. Turn off the gas and open up the pressure relief valve to release all the gas. Shake the keg for 15-20 seconds and then release the gas again. Repeat until the beer pours correctly.

Q. My beer looks dead and tastes flat?

A. The beer is under-gassed. Take the beer line off, turn the gas up to 300kpa and shake the keg for 30 seconds. Let the keg settle for awhile then try again, or just leave the gas on 300kpa for about 6 hours.

Q. Can I speed up the carbonation process?

A. Yes. For a quick fix, attach the gas at 300kpa to a cold keg and then shake it as hard as possible for about 4 minutes. Then, turn the gas off and let settle for about an hour. If it is under-gassed, reattach the gas and shake for 30 seconds then let it settle for another hour. If it is over-gassed, turn off the gas, open the pressure relief valve, shake for 15-20 seconds and then release the gas again. Repeat until the beer pours correctly.

Q. How do I store my Keg between sessions?

A. At the end of a session put 60kpa into the keg, then turn off the gas and disconnect the lines. Then, before starting the next session, release all the gas.

Q. How do I store my full Kegs?

A. You can store your kegs before or after carbonation. If you choose not to carbonate them, make sure you purge them. However, if you do carbonate them, make sure you release the pressure before taking them out of the fridge.

Q. How often do I have to clean the lines?

A. If constantly using the keg, clean the lines with line cleaner every 6-8 weeks and more frequently if it is left sitting for any time.

Q. What is the best way to pour a beer?

A. Always pour a beer with the tap or gun in the fully open position.
